It’s been wet all weekend. Good news for the farmers. Not so good for riders…
I’d be quite happy if we had a long El Nino weather pattern (sorry farmers), but the forecasters are saying it looks like it might not stick around.
Meanwhile, the new K1300S is sitting neglected in the garage.
As it keeps raining our initial excitement about the new bike is waning.
Zorro’s in mourning too over the recent sale of his beloved S1000RR. (If he could, he’d have kept both, I’m sure.)
So to pep him up about owning a ‘touring bike’ – and to keep myself in pillion passion mode – I’ve been looking through Pinterest.
And bike sites.
And travel sites.
Dreaming of wide open roads, somewhere new…

Hey, what about riding around Tassie? (Conveniently forgetting that when we toured Tasmania by car 10 years ago, we had luggage filling the boot AND the back seat…)
Ooh, the west coast of California has some awesome roads for motorbikes! (Conveniently ignoring that travel insurance doesn’t seem to cover riding bikes with any reasonable power output…)
And so many weekend trips around NSW to do… (Conveniently forgetting that the promised El Nino isn’t coming anytime soon… And that I don’t like to ride in the rain…)
Still, it’s fun to dream. Where do you think would be a great place to ride?
